Viejo San Juan is absolutely charming. Its history and culture are reflected in the architecture, the vibrant colors, the food and lively energy.

EN When it's grey and frigid for weeks, it take a toll on my mood. This change of scenery is exactly what I needed to lift my spirits. Walking down bustling Calle Fortaleza under the sun in my Galatea Mini Dress was such a treat, but it did make us a little thirsty, which is why we made a pitstop at Barrachina for some piña coladas.

ES Cuando hace mucho frío y todo se pone gris, afecta un montón a mis ánimos. Cambiar de aires me vino bien. Y caminar por todos los locales en mi Minivestido Galatea de la Calle de Fortaleza fue un gustazo. Entre las tiendas encontramos un sitio que tiene fama de hacer buenas piña coladas que se llama Barrachina.

EN After a few boozey coconut sips, we strolled over to the Plaza de las Palomas (Pigeon Square). The square is known for the numerous pigeons that gather there for food and shelter. I got distracted by an ice cream vendor and beelined it for some coconut ice cream. #SweetToothATTACK

ES Después de unos sorbitos deliciosos, nos fuimos a la Plaza de las Palomas. La plaza se conoce por la multitud de palomas que se juntan para buscar comida y un poco de refugio del sol. Vi un vendedor de helados y me fui corriendo para comprar una bola de mantecado de coco. #golosaTOTAL

EN Our stroll through Plaza de las Palomas worked up an appetite that required some tasty bites. We found Vianda Nachos and coconut shrimp at The Parrot Club. Now looking back on what I ate that day, I'm realizing that it was a LOT of coconut. Hmm, I didn't realize that I liked it that much.

ES Nuestro paseo por la Plaza de las Palomas nos dio un poco de hambre y decidimos buscar algo para picar. Encontramos unos nachos de viandas y camarones de coco en el restaurante The Parrot Club. Ahora que pienso en lo que comí ese día, me doy cuenta de que fun mucho coco. Pfff, ni sabía que me gustaba tanto.
