The black leather jacket is the wearable icon of cool. It got its start back in the early 1900s as the top layer of an aviator’s military uniform and has undergone many changes over the years. Despite all of the changes, it's still one of the easiest pieces to become an instant bad@$$. I fell in love with this one from Fauxgerty while visiting STL.

When I slipped my arm into this mustard number, if felt like home. Learning more about Fauxgerty (and finding it on sale!) only confirmed that it HAD to be mine.

Founded in 2014 by Chrissy Fogerty, Fauxgerty is a vegan leather outerwear brand that puts an emphasis on intricate characteristics, hand-crafted processes, textural treatments and symbolism.

Fauxgerty aspires to reduce waste and increase planet + animal love. Check out how by visiting their Website here!

When you bring your old clothes to their flagship store in St. Louis, they recycle it for you AND  give you 15% off of your next purchase. That's my kind of spring cleaning!

I wore mine over my pencil skirt to stay warm on my commute and transition my workwear look for happy hour. I love the unexpected pop of color in this tough-looking jacket. It adds a touch of femme and an extra layer of personality.
