I'm a big fan of Chicago and all things that come from this wonderful city: Chicago-style pizza, meatpacking, ferris wheels, zippers and vacuum cleaners among many other innovations. To that list, I'm adding on Suki + Solaine.
Suki + Solaine is fashion label based right here in Chicago and it prides itself as being Made in the USA! Their products are both designed and produced stateside. Samples are made in their West Town studio using high-quality textiles sourced from America & Europe, while final products are manufactured locally.
Suki + Solaine marries innovative vision and luxe construction with the versatility and price of contemporary daywear.
It was founded by Brandi Archer around the concept of high-end knitwear essentials, but developed a more avant-garde essence when Nicole Puszynski joined the S+S team as Designer. Together, Archer & Puszynski have evolved S+S into a smart, metropolitan brand with a touch of the saturnine.
I layered my Your Yacht or Mine tee over an oxford shirt and suede shorts with tights. Its super soft fabric and dolman shape make it easy to wear with anything from ripped denim to ladylike pencil skirts.
