Shoes of Prey is coming to Nordstrom at the Oakbrook Shopping Center! Hold on, you haven't heard of it yet? In a nutshell, it's a footwear company that allows you to design your very OWN shoes.
To get started on designing your own shoe, you head over to the Shoes of Prey 3D Designer. Once there, follow the below steps to create your dream pair:
1. CHOOSE YOUR SHAPE
You can select from 12 different shoe shapes before playing with heel height, heel thickness, strap detail and fun ad-ons.
2. CHOOSE YOUR COLOR
You can select from over 170 fabrics to choose the shade and texture that best fits your style or desired look. You get to choose the color of the shoe, straps, insole, heel and ad-ons. Color blocking, here I come! Check out the color and texture selection for yourself here.
3. WORLD SHIPPING
After submitting your custom design, the shoes will be delivered within 6 weeks via DHL Express or FedEx. Check out more detailed shipping information here.
So as I was saying, Nordstrom at the Oakbrook Shopping Center will soon be opening a Shoes of Prey Design Studio.
To celebrate the launch of Shoes of Prey at the Oakbrook Center, I visited the Design Studio (located inside Nordstrom) last week. While there, I met one of the SOP founders Jodie Fox as well as Mad Men's costume designer Janie Bryant.
Janie Bryant designed a 60s centric collection of 7 heel styles.
I thought designing would be a snap, but my indecision got the best of me. With so many different styles to choose from and colors to mix and match, I found it difficult to decide on one design.
After what seemed like hours, I finally decided on one design. You'll have to check back in soon to see my creation! In the meantime, check out the 3D Designer to play with your own designs. Tag me in your design posts/pics, I'd love to see them!
