It's finally starting to feel like Spring around these parts, which means we can finally start to break out Springtime colors and hemlines. There's something so feminine and alluring about lighter shades of rose. Although my fair complexion risks being washed out by this shade of pink, I had to try it out once I felt the temperature rise above 40ยบ.

I got both the top and flared skirt from Ann Taylor on mega discount. The skirt has a high waist cut and a sateen finish, which gives it more of a refined feel. To put a casual spin on it, I chose the sweater in a large size for a slouchy and laid-back feel.

Despite the relaxed spin, the outfit and color still looked very prim and proper. To add a little edge, I chose some dark and chunky accessories to pop against the blush color.

The bag isn't edgy but I threw it in as a print to break up the monochromatic two piece.

With Mr. Armstrong on my mind, I'm off to smell the roses...
