Miley Cyrus: Face of Marc Jacobs

After months of collaborating and mutual praise, it's no surprise that
Miley Cyrus will be
the face of Marc Jacobs' Spring/Summer 2014 advertising campaign.
Cyrus stripped for Jacobs'
"Protect the Skin You're In" campaign in July to raise awareness for melanoma research, she wore one of his designs to the 2013 Met Gala, she's been seen at his shows and she also presented him with the Superstar Award at the Fashion Group International's Night of Stars.
Never has a beach looked so unsettling and eerie. These dark, storm-ravaged beach shots show a brooding Cyrus with two other models (Natalie Westling and Esmeralda Seay Reynolds). When explaining the concept to
WWD, Jacobs said, "We
wanted this beach with girls kind of sulky and broody, and we thought it would be cool if it was Miley with what could be two friends, feeling distant and quite dark,"
The ads were styled by LOVE magazine editor-in-chief Katie Grand and were photographed by David Sims, who stepped in after Jacob's usual seasonal ad photographer (Juergen Teller) refused to work with Cyrus.
After leaving Louis Vuitton to dedicate more time to his brand, Jacobs is definitely stirring things up and we'll just have to wait to see what comes.
