I'm trying to get a little more organized in the New Year, so after I cleaned out my desk, I started on my computer files. While going through old photos and deleting unwanted pics, I came across these nighttime shots from a few months ago.

I'm not really sure how I missed these, but I figure it's better to publish late than never.

So back to my New Year goals. There are a few things that I'm really trying to work on this year.

First of all, I'd like to get back to traveling. After college, my friends dispersed all over the country and I went to work abroad. I've been back Stateside for two years and working hard to get back into the "American" swing of things, so much so, that I've neglected one-on-one time with my amigos. From here on out, I want to make more of an effort to go visit my friends peppered across the globe.

Secondly, I want to work on my overall health and wellness. Now when I say this, I'm not just talking about working out more. I mean, really making efforts to take better care of myself - my WHOLE self. Mind, body + soul. I want to start eating better, drinking more water (to balance out the sips of wine), hydrating my skin better, allowing time to relax after work, taking up hobbies that make me happy, reading some great novels and surrounding myself with good vibes.

Surrounding myself with good vibes will probably be the hardest. It means saying no to things that are not in my best interest. It means creating distance between people who let me down and making the effort to spend time with those who make me smile. I'm a total people-pleaser. I feel lousy when I deviate from that path, but I've realized that I feel even lousier when I'm spread too thin or get stuck in a compromising situation due to working hard to make everyone else happy.

Here's to working on a better me in 2016.

Lastly, I want to work on getting my blog space to better reflect me. Yes, the looks are all me, but I want to include more crafty projects to exercise my creative side. I want to include more recipes (both failures and success stories). I want to revamp the blog design. I want to work with more brands that I believe in and connect with more readers and fellow bloggers.
