All hail 70s fashion flair! Today I did a throwback to the groovy decade with these blush platform sandals.
I went a little nuts with light pink hues, but I like how the soft color makes my fair skin look a little more radiant. That radiance (and a light dusting of bronzer) are currently passing as my summer "glow." I love the sun and looking tan, but I never leave home without slathering on loads of SPF. The coupling of that with the everlasting showers has my skin looking especially pale this summer.
So back to the platforms. The chunky platform and heel are softened by the pink suede, while the trousers and accessories update their silhouette. Wearing platforms can be tricky. It's a proportions game. If I'm pretty covered up, I try to show a peek of skin by my ankles to avoid looking boxy and matronly. The pant's conservative cut tones down the glamazon feel of these heels enough to wear them in a forest. :p

I absolutely love this outfit, however I might have chosen a tan/natural color clutch to go better with the pale tones of the outfit.
