Happy (Warm) Valentine's Day | Fashionlingual

Happy Valentine's Day! For my friends out there looking to seduce with some Spanish, wish your sweetie a Happy Valentine's Day in español: Feliz Día de San Valentín or Feliz Día de los Enamorados. (wink wink)

Who doesn't want to feel flirty on Valentine's Day? Um, maybe us Midwestern gals shivering at the thought of slinky dresses in below freezing temperatures! Although I admit that this isn't the warmest outfit out there, I promise that you won't freeze.

To stay toasty while maintaining the sex appeal, I layered a Peter Pan collared blouse with a cropped sweater over a curve hugging pencil skirt. Ok, yes I styled this look to be bare legged, but I threw in some knee highs that I scrunched at my ankles for warmth - in addition to a long wool coat. If the socks just aren't enough, swap them out for some black tights. The look will not be compromised by the extra layer.

Inside tip: cute V-day details don't have to be pricey. My heart balloons were each only $1 at the Dollar Store! And whenever I want some pretty yet pocket-friendly flowers, I visit a Trader Joe's.

These Nila booties from Coach have a sexy heel, are comfy AND are on sale!

I'm off to enjoy the weekend. Hope yours is a great one!
