Liquid eye liner is a great touch to a smoky eye and also looks fantastic on a bare lid, but boy can it be tricky to apply.
I like love how black liquid eye liner makes eyes pop, but nothing looks sloppier than a smudged or crooked line. On the occasion when I've overloaded on caffeine and can't calm a jittery hand, I turn to shimmery eye shadows to camouflage application imperfections.
I use a brush with a firm, slanted tip to apply the shimmery eye shadow over the line. Not only does this trick help conceal an uneven line, it can also help soften the color if you're complexion is as fair as mine.
