Eataly Chicago offers its guests 23 eateries, one fine dining restaurant and thousands of products for sale. Included in the mix are butchers, fish mongers, a Lavazza coffee bar, a gelato stand and even a Nutella bar.
“The city of Chicago boasts such a great food culture; we are very excited about this new opening,” said founder Oscar Farinetti. Eataly was founded in 2007 in Turin, Italy and now includes 17 locations.
I must say that the visit to Eataly at 43 E. Ohio Street was a total shopping and Italian dining experience, but I found it to be a bit pricey. Despite the sticker shock, I thoroughly enjoyed the pasta, pizza, gelato, Barolo glass of wine and colorful aisles of goodies.
