After losing countless hours looking for parking and grieving over red light tickets, I got fed up and sold my car. I've been a happy pedestrian (and car share customer) for about 16 months now, but now I am more concerned than ever about my footwear. The problem is that comfort and style don't always go hand in hand. And if you know me, you know how important style is to me. I can't tell you how many times I've come home with sore or blistered feet due to opting for style over comfort - despite knowing I'd be running after CTA buses and trains all day. I honestly have to think twice about my day's chores before deciding on a pair of shoes to wear.

Después de perder horas buscando sitio para aparcar y lamentar el dinero perdido en multas, decidí vender mi coche. He sido un peatón (y cliente de aplicaciones como Uber) feliz estos últimos 16 meses, pero ahora tengo que preocuparme más por el calzado que llevo. El problema es que el estilo y la comodidad no siempre van juntos. Y si me conocen, saben lo importante que es para mí ir estilosa. Ni les puedo decir cuántas veces he llegado a casa con dolores y ampollas en los pies por haber optado por zapatos monos - a pesar de saber que iba tener que ir corriendo de autobuses todo el día. Sinceramente pienso dos veces y tres veces en lo que tengo que hacer en el día antes de elegir en los zapatos que me pondré.
