Caleres Emerging Designer Fashion Show
Wednesday, November 11, 2015
This past week was my first time experiencing fashion at St. Louis Fashion Week. I had no idea that St. Louis even had it's own fashion week, so you KNOW I had to be there once I learned about it. From beginning to end, here's a look of what I saw at the Caleres Emerging Designer Fashion Show by the St. Louis Fashion Fund and Alive Magazine.
11:15 AM-3:59 PM: Filled the gas tank and sang in the car during my drive to St. Louis.
5:15PM: Rubbed elbows in Tiny Bar with Midwest Influencer Network bloggers.
6:10 PM: Snagged a gin cocktail and met some blogger babes in the Union Station Grand Hall.
6:40PM: Explored the runway to map out my seat before the show.
7:16PM: The models strutted down the catwalk in cool & edgy Azede Jean-Pierre looks.
7:25PM: Haus Alkire (by designers Julie Haus and Jason Alkire) stomped onto the catwalk in luxe tie-dye and commanding stripes.
7:34PM: Houghton (by designer Katherine Polk) dazzled the crowd in romantic lace looks with unexpected cut-outs and ethereal ruffles.
7:45PM: Eckhaus Latta (by designers Mike Eckhaus and Zoe Latta) displayed a collection of deconstructed chic outfits.
8:25PM: Houghton was named winner of $25,000 and the Caleres Emerging Designer Award. (Her collection was a show stealer for sure!)
