Between work, friends and family (and shopping), I feel like I never stop. To maintain the energy to get everything done, I've learned that I need to do a better job of taking care of myself. Little routine tweaks can make a big difference.

I actually love fruits and veggies, but I never seem to get enough of them in my diet. After reading about founder, Shauna Martin's battle with cancer, I knew that I had to give Daily Greens drinks and recipes a go. She visited Chicago last week for book signings and juice samplings, but I wasn't able to meet her so I broke out my blender to try out some of her healthy juice recipes.

I revved up the blender and tested out the recipe for the kale-grape-melon smoothie. I substituted the kale for other leafy greens, but it turned out pretty well. I wouldn't have thought to mix those ingredients, but I really enjoyed the combination. For my friends leery of "green juices," I would add a third of a ripe banana for sweetness.

The 4-Day Cleanse recipe book has some great juice, smoothie and salad recipes.

I liked trying out the recipes, but for us gals on the go, these organic cold-pressed juices are so much easier to incorporate daily into our diets. I tried out the above three flavors, but my favorite was ELEVATE since I'm not much of a celery fan.

I drank 'em while working...

...and while relaxing.
