When I need to feed a fashion craving, I turn to film and TV in addition to magazines and blogs. I would like to share a few of my favorites with all of you.

TV Shows
  • Fashion Police: fashion talk show with hilarious critiques by Joan Rivers, Guiliana Rancic, Kelly Osborn and stylist George Kotsiopoulos.
  • The Rachel Zoe Project: reality show following stylist, Rachel Zoe.
  • Sex and the City: TV series that is based on four successful girlfriends in New York
  • It’s a Brad Brad World: reality show following stylist, Brad Goreski.
  • The City: reality show that followed young designer, Whitney Port and her frenemy, Olivia Palermo.
  • Fashion Television: TV program that features fashion related content such as runway shows, profiles and more.
  • Kell on Earth: reality show that follows the life of fashion publicist Kelly Cutrone and her PR company, People's Revolution.
  • Project Runwayfashion design game show hosted by Heidi Klum.
  • Fashion Star: fashion design game show.
  • What Not to Wear: reality show that makes over peoples’ wardrobes and overall style.
  • Gossip Girl: TV series based on the dramas of young upper East Side of Manhattan socialites.
  • Downton Abbey: British period TV series that follows the lives of  an aristocratic family and their servants. Check out the wardrobe!
  • Mad Men: TV drama set in the 60s with a great wardrobe.
  • The Next Top Model: modeling game show hosted by model Tyra Banks.
  • Queer Eye: reality show where five gay men give fashion, style, personal grooming, interior design and culture makeovers.
  • The Face: modeling game show that pegs three top models and their teams of models against each other.
  • Solo Moda: TV show dedicated to the fashion World on Spanish television station TVE.
Film/Documentaries
  • The September Issue: documentary on fashion from the American Vogue’s powerhouses Anna Wintor and Grace Coddington point of view.
  • The Devil Wears Prada: film starring Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep that portrays the story of a style inept journalist who tries to make it in New York City and finds herself working at a fashion magazine. 
  • Pret-a-Porter: comedy set during the 1994 Paris fashion show with tons of cameos from fashion designers, models and stars.
  • Clueless: film (loosely based on Jane Austen’s Emma) starring Alicia Silverstone about a fashionista teen in Beverly Hills.
  • Visionaries: Inside the Creative Mind – Tom Ford: profile on designer Tom Ford.
  • The Eye Has to Travel: documentary about the legendary Diana Vreeland.
  • The Factory Girl: film that portrays Edie Sedgewick’s (played by Sienna Miller) rise to It Girl status.
  • Planeta Zara: documentary that explains what makes Zara so successful.
  • The Secret World of Haute Couture: BBC documentary about what makes haute couture so magical. It will have you better understanding its price and consumers.
  • McQueen & I: profile of British designer Alexander McQueen and his eccentric muse, Isabella Blow.
  • Coco Before Chanel: film starring Audrey Tautou that tells the story of French designer, Coco Chanel’s rise in the fashion hall of fame.
