Here's a recap of some of my favorite New York Fashion Week runway shows from A-Z.

Alexander Wang

This show had Alexander Wang written all over it, I mean the brand name was literally all over the collection that included babydoll tops mixed with leather and menswear inspired pieces.

BCBGMAXAZRIA showcased some oversized and flowy numbers with impressionist-looking flowers to lend some edge.

Badgley Mischka

Badgley Mischka’s gowns emanated elegance and power despite all of their delicate details.

Betsey Johnson

Betsey Johnson sent out bubble gum colored wigs for her edgy girly girl. Pretty in Pink anyone?

Carolina Herrera

Carolina Herrera’s collection had bold geometric patterns coupled with lots of flowy movement.

Desigual

Desigual’s collection “For everybody. Sex Fun & Love” started off with lots of black and white daisies then eased into more color and print combos.

Diane Von Furstenberg

When Naomi Campbell sashays onto a runway, you can’t help but stare. And stare I did as Diane von Furstenberg sent out her collection down the catwalk.

DKNY

DKNY celebrated its 25th anniversary with a collection that seemed to channel 90s hip hop with baseball caps, denim overalls and prints that looked like bandanas.

J. Mendel

Magical. That's the word that I would use to sum up the transition from pastel dresses, with fur accessories, to the dramatic gowns in J. Mendel's show.

Jenny Packham

Jenny Packham’s show was a sophisticated take on a flower child’s maxi dress, packed with wow factor beading and pearls.

Kate Spade

Kate Spade's collection reflected colors and style from travels around Europe to such fabulous locations as Paris, Monaco and Capri.

Marc by Marc Jacobs

Marc by Marc Jacobs sent me back to a 70s disco and had me saying, "pyschadelic prints, sequins and shiny satin, Oh my!"

Organ music and chanting set the tone for the Marc Jacobs show.

Michael Kors

The 40s and 70s really came together in romantic harmony for the Michael Kors show.

Oscar de la Renta

Oscar de la Renta’s bright gowns were full of flirty tulle and oozed femininity from head to hem.

Rachel Zoe

Rachel Zoe’s wearable collection included more than just her trademark maxi dresses, it was a cross between safari chic and glam city goer.

Ralph Lauren

Ralph Lauren took the Mary-Janes clad school girl and gave her a sophisticated make-over

The Blonds

That’s a heck of a sock bun! I love this femme-fatale-space-cadet look by The Blonds, but I'm not sure that it fits into my wardrobe.

Tommy Hilfiger

Tommy Hilfiger’s models sported laid back retro inspired pieces that need to be strut down Cali beach boardwalks.

Zac Posen

If mother nature were to take human form, I imagine that she’d look like one of Zac Posen’s ruffled models.
